Hardwares of Conflict Jorogumo by grid-gunner Hardwares of Conflict Jorogumo by grid-gunner
Concept of an anti-gravity dropship/tank/transport with a giant AI mech as the "pilot". It can hover just above ground and water or take to the skies. Pretty much a revisit of [link]

Sketchup7+Photoshop

:::: DESCRIPTION ::::

UNIT NAME: MvrT-142 "Jorogumo"
ROLE: Variable Role Transport and Assault
CLASS: Nephila
SUBCLASS: Ronin
MANUFACTURER: Joint project between ARCA-Systems & Exo-Propulsions Laboratories
STATUS: Active service

LENGTH: 229 ft (69.7 m)
WIDTH: 184 ft (55 m)
HEIGHT: 92 ft (28 m)

ENGINE: Fusion reactor
PROPULSION: Anti-Gravity drive, ion thrusters

SENSORS: Large Radome, numerous sensors

MASTER UNIT: SORA-209 Invoker [link]

This is a "Ronin" type unit. Ronin units cannot function fully unless operated by a "Master" unit. Being able to perform variable roles makes the Jorogumo a valuable piece of hardware.

I belive that this is a amazing ^_^

Ive been dusting off my Max9 for some animation work.

Sketchup? wow, i always considered it for use as a map bulider. I guess the rugged gemomety really adds to the tanks stability ^_^"

+fav.

Very good-looking design!
It draws in detail, it crowds, and it seems to begin to move.
I admire for such can be drawn.

Wow... no matter how i try, I lack of words to describe the awesomeness of this. It is absolutely impressive, the textures and the cammo/rusty/dirt/tough look quite realistic. The blue lights on the base make a good effect too, nice detail.

If you mean the main gun, yeah it could put another one on the opposite side. But it would replace the radome. :C

really? well i think 1 is enough, i wonder how does this machine travel on uneven ground, why dont you try making transformable machines, that would be fun!

I already have transforming machine I'm tryin to get done. But the transforming part I kept it really simple. Nothing fancy. :/

What is a BOLO?

"A Bolo is a fictional type of artificially intelligent superheavy tank."
There's a whole slew of books with Bolos as the common denominator. Late in the timeline they look something like this.

Interesting....just read a bit about it on wikipedia......hardcore stuff. One BOLO to protect a planet! I'm guessing that BOLOs can fly too?

Eventually. They start out as, essentially, smart M1A1s. They turn into something godlike. ...with, strangely, more humanity than we have ourselves.

Look up BOLO! by David Weber. It'll be worth your while.

Ugh, I wish I can understand sketchup. More than I expected, love the way you gave texture on it. Feel like oil painting and publish your work just like front over of plamo (plastic model ala Gundam).

Good god damn, that's impressive! I really like the basic flow and feel of this. Intimidating, but not overwhelming in sheer mass and arms. Like a metaphorical scalpel, only in tank form :)

Now this one I would want a print of--just not through dA, of course! Did you add the lighting effects in PS as well?

For some reason, I really like how Google Sketchup adds those edge lines on the models; it easily reminds me of an engineering drafter's design process.

The basic lighting & model is in SU. Everything else is done in PS....hope that makes sense.
