Been seeing various Space Jockey (from the movie ALIEN) fanart from around the net and decided to jump in on the fun! And part of the fun is guessing what a living Space Jockey looks like.

Also because I am really hyped up for Ridley Scott's Prometheus movie!

You know... there were TWO twists I didn't see coming in Prometheus. 1) Space Jockeys are basically giant albino humans and 2) That in Alien, the space jockey HADN'T been chest-bursted by an Alien, but rather the pilot had burst out of his suit of armor.

Other than that, completely predictable film. What's more, the subtlety of Alien regarding how the Xenomorphs were supposed to show the terror of sex was completely gone (specifically the part where the pinnacle of masculinity, the Engineer, fights a literal giant vagina that's trying to impregnate him for a good minute or so). Not subtle at all. Not to mention that it failed as a horror film, they should've left out the horror elements and made it straight sci-fi, and the only fully-developed character was David.

Yes, yes it is.

Yeah, I saw the film recently and thought it has impressive visuals but personally the rest of the film is a mixed bag. Still looking forward to an extended cut if that should happen.

I'm looking forward to the sequel, personally. Normally I'm not one for sequels, because they're usually dumb. But in this case, I feel a sequel might work in that they've made it very hard for themselves to do five-thousand 'Alien' references with only David and Shaw on a non-human spaceship headed for a world of giant albino humanoids.

Yeah, even though Prometheus didn't blow my mind, I still look forward to a sequel. The ending referenced Alien+Aliens in that the main character opened a "door" to destroy a direct threat.

And because an actual Xenomorph chestbursted at the end (okay, it wasn't an ACTUAL Xenomorph, but it's close enough you can call it one).

Maybe in Prometheus II, the main character will open another "door" to remove an enemy that is being chestbursted at the same time. :D
